.This article deals with María Guerrero’s 1895 production of Rojas Zorrilla’s Entre bobos anda el juego and discusses the text used there Eduardo Asquerino’s version, published in 1851. A comparison follows with the 1999 production by the Compañía Nacional de Teatro Clásico (‘National Drama Company’), where the version by Rafael Pérez Sierra and Gerardo Malla is studied.
